Jack Palmer is a Melbourne / Naarm based composer, a-v artist, guitarist and audio engineer. He works with computer music production, improvisation, video systems design, and installation. Jack’s work is characterised by paradox and emotional contradiction invoked by his visceral and aural-visual approach to sound.

Jack has featured as a performer / artist at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, La Mama Theatre, the Ruthin International Arts Festival (UK), the Brunswick Music Festival, West Projections Festival, Space538 (US), Backwoods Gallery, among many others. He has collaborated with songwriters, instrumentalists, dancers, visual artists, poets, and film makers and has composed and performed across electronic music, jazz, post-rock, and experimental genres. Jack regularly releases and performs electronic music as ‘Bad Ambulance’ and recently collaborated with Speak Percussion designing and performing video projections for their installation-performance work ‘Squashed’.

Jack operates from his studio in Footscray where he runs freelance creative audio production, mixing and mastering business ‘Imprint Audio’ and teaches guitar and music production.
