ARCHIVE: There is a metaphor in rabbinic literature that describes the Torah as black fire on white fire. This collaborative project aims to explore the boundaries between these fires: between the text and non-text, between poetic language, sound, voice, and space; between the ways in which language is always physicalised and the ways it is soliciting physicalisation.

Small Rooms was collaboration between poet Louis Klee and video artist/choreographer Eitan Ritz and myself during 2018. It had two iterations -

I live and work on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people. I would like to acknowledge their timeless custodianship of and transcendental connection to country. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend this to all first nations peoples throughout Australia and the world.
